What? St Helier community clean up, in partnership with the Metropolitan Police, Safer Neighbourhoods, Merton Council and local residents.
When? Saturday 17 July, starting 9.30am and finishing at 2pm
Where? Morden Rec Pavillion, St Helier Ward. Entrance either on Farm Road or Middleton Road.
Photographers are invited to meet at 9.30am at Morden Rec Pavillion, to photograph the volunteers and staff before embarking on the blitz through the borough. Alternatively, they can arrive later to witness the team in action, clearing away litter and graffiti. Please see below for a contact number on the day.
The clean up will concentrate on designated areas of St Helier Ward, and will start at 9.30am at Morden Rec Pavilion and finish at 2pm. Entrance to the park is either on Farm Road or Middleton Road in Morden.
The clean-up is part of a larger string of clean ups during the week, arranged in partnership with the Metropolitan Police, Safer Neighbourhoods and Merton Council.
Councillor Linda Kirby, Cabinet Member for Environmental Quality said: “It would be good to see lots of residents get involved. Community action can be a lot of fun and it can make a big difference to the environment as well.”
