We need you!

Come and do your bit for the environment between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday 11 September at Merton Council’s community clean up, aiming to tackle local graffiti and litter issues.

The clean up will meet at 9.30am at the Hailsham Road junction with Seeley Road, Mitcham. Volunteers will help to clean graffiti and litter from the surrounding area. All those wishing to participate will be provided with protective clothing and specialized cleaning materials.

Councillor Linda Kirby, Merton Council’s Cabinet Member for Environmental Quality, said: ‘I will be helping out at the event and hope others residents will come along and help to make our borough a nicer place to live. Community action not only makes a difference to our environment, but can also be a lot of fun.’
