Drop into CareConnect

Questions about social, health or community care services can now be answered on the spot by CareConnect at Merton’s Civic Centre.

CareConnect is a free, confidential and impartial public service that provides people with information on community and health care services to help them remain independent

Operating from Merton Link, the service allows anyone, even without an appointment, to drop in Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm if they have questions or need information on any health, social or community care services.

The CareConnect service is run by a team of staff and trained volunteers who have a database of local information about services available to people who live, work or study in the borough. The Voluntary Sector and social and health care professionals are also welcome to access the service on behalf of their clients or to assist them in their work.

With information available electronically and in other accessible formats, Merton Link and CareConnect now offer a comprehensive service for the community.

Councillor Andy Coles, Merton’s Cabinet Member for Care Services said:

“CareConnect has been informing people in the borough for over six years and it’s pleasing that people can now receive this face-face service along with the already existing telephone service.

“This will enable residents to get a quicker response from our extensive community care and health service resources.”
