Mike Barrett , Merton’s Environmental Health Manager said ‘We have recently carried out a house condition survey and over 75% of the properties in Merton would benefit from improved heating and insulation measures. We would encourage all residents to take action to reduce their fuel bills and improve their living conditions. This has many benefits not the least of which will be in peoples pockets as fuel prices continue to rise.’

Residents who are not eligible for this offer above should call ‘Coldbusters’ on 0800 358 6668 to see if they are eligible for a grant of up to £4000 worth of heating and insulation measures. All calls are free and by ringing residents could save money on heating bills, improve their living conditions and help to reduce global warming.
