A Junior Angling Participation Day will be held at Cannon Hill Common on Sunday 12 June from 10am – 4pm.
Environment Agency Fisheries Staff will be on hand to share advice and explain the type of work for which they are responsible while certified coaches from the National Federation of Anglers will also advise on coaching and teaching methods.
Supported by Merton Council, celebrity angler Keith Auther will make an appearance at the event to hand out prizes to enthusiasts.
Angling coaching will be provided by way of a registration system. All children need to be between 8 – 14 years and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
