Keeping Merton Safe, Clean and Green

Students at Haselmere Primary School in Mitcham are helping to keep Merton safe, clean and green.

Two wardens from Merton’s Neighbourhood Warden Scheme visited the school on Friday 17 June for an environmental awareness session aimed at educating pupils about safety awareness.

The Merton Neighbourhood Warden Scheme has worked with various primary schools in the borough since 2002 to try and get the ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ message across.

The Scheme received an award from ENCAMS in 2003 after organising a number of successful clean up days.
