Are you a budding Wayne Rooney or Frank Lampard? If so, why not get your friends together and enter a team in a free 6-a-side football competition being organised by Groundwork Merton.

The competitions will be held at Morden Recreation Ground Football Training Pitches in Farm Road, Morden on Thursday 16 February with registration at 10am (for 11-13 year olds) and Friday 17 February with registration at 12pm (for 14-16 year olds).

Groundwork Merton has been hosting youth football competitions for two years and has also recently organised football-coaching sessions with AFC Wimbledon. Merton Council, Merton Youth Service, Safer Merton, Safer Neighbourhoods and Merton Housing fund these regular events.
