The London Borough of Merton has recruited Lyn Carpenter to the role of Head of Property and Leisure.

Lyn is currently the Head of Leisure and Cultural Services at Elmbridge Borough Council and will start her new role with Merton on February 27.

Lyn has a background in both private and public sector management, extensive experience of corporate working and a track record of success as an international sportsperson, including 33 caps for England Netball team that won bronze at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur and a bronze medal at the 1999 World Netball Championships in New Zealand.

Her responsibilities will include property management, leisure services, transport and geographic information systems.
