Merton Council and Merton Police are appealing for information following the vandalism of a number of grave headstones and the church at Church Lane Cemetery, Mitcham.

The ‘tag’ SLEM2 was daubed across headstones causing particular distress to visitors to the cemetery. There is a possibility that people may be familiar with this tag and that you may have seen it on a schoolbook or other possessions belonging to someone.
