Walking enthusiasts are invited to experience the wonderful surroundings of the soon to be developed Wandle Valley Country Park in a spring walk to take place on Sunday 26 March.
The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Judy Saunders along with Groundwork Merton, the Mitcham Common Conservators and the London Borough of Sutton are staging this walk of approximately 4 miles from Mitcham Common to Beddington Park in Sutton, which will promote and showcase the delights of what will be the Wandle Valley Country Park.
Walkers from local heritage groups will be joining the walk and we would encourage anyone who wants take part on Sunday to be at Mitcham Junction Train Station for 10.15am, where the walk will commence. It’s anticipated the walk will finish at 2.00pm in Beddington Park.
