Bridging community gaps

Community Cohesion will be celebrated with a family and children’s evening on Saturday 25 March from 6pm-11pm at Lavender Pavillion, Steers Mead.

The South London Somali Community is hosting the event, which is aiming to help bring communities closer together though song, dance and poetry. It is also being funded by Safer Merton as part of the Merton’s Partnership’s Community Cohesion Grant Scheme.

The Scheme solely funds activities that promote good relations between communities and aims to help residents to develop a better understanding and bridge the community gaps across race, cultural, faith and age groups.
