Merton libraries are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 1 March with a range of activities, including storytelling, Bookstart bags and £1 book vouchers for children under five.

Mitcham Library:

World Book Day for Under 5s, includes stories, rhymes, vouchers, free balloon and Bookstart packs.
Pollards Hill:
Thursday 1 March, 9.30am
Children from Lonesome Primary School are coming in to learn about life cycles.
Raynes Park Library:
Thursday 1 March,11.30am
World Book Day storytime and vouchers.
Wimbledon Library:
Thursday 1 March, 2pm
Storytime with teddy bears, bring your teddy or cuddly toy along.
Morden Library:
Friday 2 March, 9.30 – 10.30am and 11 – 12pm
Year 2 from Poplar Primary School will be coming in dressed as pirates and explorers for stories and fruit tasting from around the world.
There are also Bookstart packs for children who have not yet received one:
· Baby bag – 9 months,
· Bookstart Plus bag – 18 months,
· Treasure Chest – 3 years.
