Dundonald Primary School stands up against bullying

Pupils and teachers from Dundonald Primary have together made a defiant gesture against bullying by participating in The Big Stand 2007.

At 10am on Friday 25 May, every pupil and member of staff at Dundonald stood up for one minute to show that they do not accept or tolerate bullying. The school was one of thousands across the UK that took part in The Big Stand, a national event organised by Beatbullying, the UK’s leading anti-bullying charity.

Gary Bennell, Deputy Headteacher said:

“We are proud to take part in The Big Stand. It is a great opportunity for pupils to show that they are taking a stand against bullying. We are always working to promote tolerance and respect within the school and this event reminds everyone, pupils and teachers, that bullying is unacceptable.”
