Merton residents can now view and give their opinion on the final design plans to expand and improve Pollards Hill library. The recently completed designs are on display in the library since 19 March.
The HOCA Practise architects, responsible for the project, will give a presentation on Saturday 29 March at 12pm to explain the designs and the next steps to making these plans a reality. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be provided.
The refurbishment works were made possible thanks to the Council’s success in securing a grant of nearly £1 million from the Big Lottery Fund, the largest single funding bid that has been successful in the library services history. The bid will allow the creation of additional space for learning and for community activities aimed at all Pollards Hill’s residents.
Simon Williams, Director of Community and Housing, says: “We are very proud of the new designs for Pollards Hill library. The improvement plans show the council is putting its residents first by ensuring they will be able to take full advantage of facilities available at the library.”
