Mitcham Carnival is preparing for yet another year of music and dance in this year’ s themed parade ‘The Pride of Mitcham’, which will take place on Saturday 13 June at the Three Kings Piece.

The carnival committee is inviting all local businesses, schools and voluntary organisations to take an active role in the celebrations.

To book a stall space please download application forms from http://www.merton.gov.uk/mitchamcarnival or contact 020 8545 4888 to receive one by post. Forms should be completed and submitted by Thursday 4 June.

Mayor of Merton, Cllr Martin Whelton said, “Mitcham Carnival is a great opportunity for organisations and groups to meet and showcase their wares. It also gives our residents an opportunity to sample and enjoy a wide range of products.”

“There will be a funfair for all to enjoy, with a little league football tournament and party atmosphere from midday to 5pm. I hope to see as many people as possible get involved to help make this year’s Mitcham Carnival a community occasion to remember. “
