Merton Council calls for your questions

Merton Council is once again inviting the borough’s residents and business ratepayers to submit a written question to the council’s cabinet members at the next full council meeting on Wednesday 16 September 2009.

Those wishing to take part may ask one question of no more than 50 words in length and if they are present at the meeting, may also ask a supplementary question arising from the written response.

Merton Council deputy leader Councillor Samantha George said:

” We are really keen to ensure residents always have an opportunity to get involved with council meetings and to influence decisions. This is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in Merton to get direct answers to their questions and help us ensure we are offering the best value services possible.”

If you would like to send a question please do so in under 50 words together with your name and address to democratic services at the civic centre, either by post or email to council.questions@merton.gov.uk

The deadline for receipt is Friday 4 September 2009 at 5pm.

For further information please contact the Democratic Services team 020 8545 3361.
