Merton Council sends its congratulations to Andy Murray following his fantastic win against Jo-Wilfred Tsonga Friday night.

Leader of Merton Council, Councillor Stephen Alambritis said: “This is a great moment in British sport and British tennis. We are proud to be home to the Wimbledon Championships and having a British player in the finals is momentous. Murray will be facing Federer now and the whole council is behind Murray in his quest to win Wimbledon 2012.”
