Have your say on parking parades

Merton Council is seeking residents’ and business’ views on parking in neighbourhood shopping parades.

The council is looking at three key areas for feedback: sufficiency, location and cost for the Mitcham, Raynes Park, Colliers Wood, Morden and Wimbledon areas. Residents and businesses have until 30 April to respond to the survey.

This is the second phase of consultation which forms part of a wider review of Merton’s parking policy. The first phase, which involved extensive consultation with residents and businesses in each of the borough’s five town centres and Wimbledon village, was carried out in the autumn of 2012.

Cabinet member for performance and implementation, Councillor Mark Betteridge said: “We encourage all residents and businesses to take part in this consultation as their feedback is crucial to helping us further improve parking services in Merton, as we work to make parking fairer across the borough.”
