Twenty-seven schools from across the borough finished up the school term by taking part in the biggest Merton school sporting event of the year at Wimbledon Park track. Events included 80m, 150m and 600m races, long jump, standing triple jump, shot putt, vortex howler and team relays. The day concluded with a staff relay which gave pupils the opportunity to see their teachers in action.

Merton School Sport Partnership has had many great achievements this year including being used as an exemplar case study in the ASA 2013 School Swimming Census, Bishop Gilpin Primary School winning the Girls Football Final at the London Youth Games, as well as raising the standard of sports education in Merton and getting school children involved in various sports throughout the year.

The partnership also marked the end of term and the swimming success of Merton schools by holding the first annual swimming gala at Morden Park Swimming Pools.
