Merton’s environmental health, waste enforcement and Safer Merton staff took part in a clean up at the Monarch Parade estate in Mitcham on Saturday 3 August.
The clean up, which is part of an on-going transformation of the estate saw stairways painted, gardening and rubbish cleared with residents and police all pitching in to help. The paint was supplied through enforcement and community waste manager Pat De Jesus who also organised the waste and refuse collections. The day ended with a BBQ involving all who helped on the day.
