Residents and visitors can get their BMI and blood pressure checked for free in Morden Library on Tuesday 17 September, 10am – 3pm.
The health checks are part of Know Your Numbers Week, the national campaign run by the Blood Pressure Association. High blood pressure is responsible for 60% of strokes and 40% of heart attacks.
Visitors will also be able to get advice and sign up to LiveWell, a free NHS health improvement service for people who live or work in Merton. The service helps people live healthier lifestyles including watching what they eat, being more active, stopping smoking and reducing alcohol intake.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. For more information visit www.merton.gov.uk/publichealth
