The Community Covenant details how the council and local organisations will support members of the Armed Forces and their families, recognising their contribution and sacrifices.

Councillor Alambritis said: “I am pleased that the covenant has now been signed. We are committed to doing all that we can to support the members of the Armed Forces, Veterans and their families to have a good quality of life in the borough.”

Colonel Mike Kelly said: “We’re all delighted that this agreement has been signed. I hope this partnership will encourage local people to know more about sacrifices and challenges faced by our families. Becoming more a part of the community can only be a good thing.”
