Merton Libraries give something extra this Christmas

Merton Libraries are lending a helping hand in the run-up to Christmas with a downloadable gift card on the Merton Libraries website. Ready-printed gift cards are also available at all libraries.

Christmas giftcard from Merton LibrariesAnyone planning to give eReaders this Christmas can download and print off a gift card to include in their present. The card explains how to borrow free eBooks from Merton libraries and, for those who are not already members, it directs people to the website where they can join. The gift cards are ideal for people giving eReaders as a Christmas present as they provide information about how to access thousands of eBooks, eMagazines and other eResources through Merton Libraries’ website. People can collect a gift card in any Merton library or download one at www.merton.gov.uk/libraries.

Cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper, said: “We always go the extra mile to meet the needs of our library members and have topped that off this year by giving a little extra this Christmas. Giving access to thousands of books and other reading material is a fantastic gift for anyone and the gift card is free.”
