Merton Council welcomes the news today from Love Wimbledon that WHSmith is set to return to Wimbledon’s Centre Court Shopping Centre later this summer.

The council’s cabinet member for regeneration, environment and housing, Councillor Martin Whelton said: “Through all the great work of Love Wimbledon, we will now see the return of the much missed WHSmith to our town centre. This follows hot on the heels of Waterstones announcing  their return to Wimbledon too, which I know will make many people very happy. As a council we are committed to working towards bringing businesses to the town and having a thriving retail sector offering a wide range of shops. My thanks go to Love Wimbledon for all the work they put into encouraging businesses to Wimbledon.”
