Former Mayor of Merton Councillor David Chung presented 24 charities across the borough with donations yesterday (27 July 2016) at the civic centre in Morden.
The two charities he formally supported during his mayoralty, Friends in St Helier and Merton centre for Independent Living, were both presented with cheques for over £13,000. More than £10,700 was shared among 22 other charities.
