Merton Council’s leader, Councillor Stephen Alambritis, will be frying fish, making dainty sandwiches and pulling pints of beer to celebrate Merton’s many small businesses this Small Business Saturday (3 December).
Council leader Councillor Stephen Alambritis, left, with South London Stationers and Printers manager Gurmit Saini.
For the fourth year in a row, the council will be visiting a variety of Merton’s small businesses to showcase them and encourage people to support the traders on their doorsteps for Small Business Saturday.
In 2014, Merton was awarded “Best All Round Small Business Friendly Borough”, which is testament to the hard work of the local businesses and the support the council offers local businesses through its comprehensive business support programme.
