Transitioning to living safely and fairly with COVID-19 – asymptomatic testing

The Government published their ‘Living with COVID-19 plan’ on the 21 February and as part of this plan, the government will end free asymptomatic testing for the general public on the 31 March 2022.

This means that we are required to wind down our programme throughout March; our testing sites will remain open but operate for reduced days. From next week, the Wilson will be open Monday to Wednesday (9am to 5pm) and from week commencing 14 March Centre Court will be open Wednesday to Saturday (8.30am to 5.30pm). The last day of operation at the Wilson will be Wednesday 23 March and the last day of operation at Centre Court will be Saturday 26 March.

On the days that the sites are closed you will still be able to book an assisted test at community pharmacies across Merton and collect home test kits from community libraries across Merton. Asymptomatic Testing in Pharmacies and collection from libraries will close on 31 March 2022, in line with Government policy.

We are working on plans to transition to living safely and fairly with COVID-19 in Merton and look out for more details in the coming weeks.
