It has been six months since you were recognised at the 2023 Merton Best Business Awards. How has the past six months been for your business?
Winning the award has brought many great benefits to us as a business. We have been able to share this success with our employees and we are so pleased to have this recognition, especially after all the hard work we have put in over the last few years to make D&G a truly great place to work.
As well as sharing this news internally, we also posted about the win on our socials, expanding the reach of this success to our customers, clients and potential new talent coming into the business. This accolade is very important to us as it is paramount to our values and future goals as a business.
What did being recognised in the Awards mean for you and your team personally?
Winning the award was a great evening for us at D&G. The win came as a great surprise, and we were incredibly overwhelmed and excited. It was such a fantastic achievement for us as a team as it really made all the hard work we have been doing over the last year worth it.
The awards ceremony was brilliant and gave us a chance to come together as a team and celebrate the achievement. MBBA really did put on a great evening of entertainment for us as well. We were thrilled to return to the office with a trophy to share with our colleagues and have it proudly on display for everyone to see.
What advice would you offer a business considering putting in an award entry this year?
The award entry is your chance to tell your story and how your business got to this point. It’s important to read the questions in the criteria and make sure you answer each and every one thoroughly. If you stick to that format and get your personality across, then you are in with a chance of submitting an award-winning entry!
