Today, the London Borough of Merton announces that the bidding round for the 2024 Civic Pride – Investing in Neighbourhoods and the Community Climate Action Funds are now officially open. Residents, community groups, and local organisations are invited to submit their project proposals over the next five weeks to help enhance their neighbourhoods and tackle climate change.
These funds represent the council’s ongoing commitment to building a more resilient, sustainable, and vibrant borough.
Civic Pride – Investing in Neighbourhoods Fund
Total funding available: £750,000
Objective: To support projects that address demands placed on neighbourhoods by new development, such as housing, and improve local areas.
Community Climate Action Fund
Total funding available: £166,000 annually over three years (2023–2025)
Objective: To support community-led initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions or building resilience to the impacts of climate change.
How to Apply
The bidding period opens today and will remain open for five weeks. To simplify the process, the London Borough of Merton have introduced a single application form for both the Civic Pride Investing in Neighbourhoods and Community Climate Action Funds. The form is available now on the council website, along with a webinar and FAQ to help applicants develop their proposals.
