Merton headteacher to move on

Sue Williamson, Headteacher of Tamworth Manor High School in Mitcham for the last six and half years, will leave the school at the end of this term.

Sue Williamson said: “I shall be very sad to leave Tamworth. It is a very exciting environment to work in: with thoroughly committed staff and students who have gained the school a DFES Improvement Award recently.

“I know that I leave the school in very capable hands as Denise Heales, my Deputy, will become Acting Headteacher.”

Chair of Governors, Mike Bragger, said of Ms. Williamson: “She has worked tirelessly for the school over the last six and a half years and during that time has achieved some notable successes.

“In particular her hard work and skilful negotiating have ensured that Tamworth Manor will have buildings to be proud of once the rebuilding work currently taking place is completed. She will be greatly missed and I and the Governing Body of the school wish her every success and happiness for the future.”

Sue Evans, Director of Education, Leisure and Libraries said: “Sue Williamson has served Tamworth Manor High School well during an exciting and demanding period. I am grateful to her for all her work in supporting students and staff and wish her every future happiness.”
