Once again there will be no change to the normal refuse and recycling collection days in Merton this bank holiday, 25 August 2003.
Residents are advised to put their refuse and recycling boxes out on their normal collection day, even if it falls on Bank Holiday Monday. All household refuse is collected once a week in the borough and is not affected by the bank holiday.
Remember that refuse will be collected from the front of the property, at the edge of the premises or driveway. Refuse must be put out by 6am, and recycling boxes by 7am, on the day of collection.
The Re-use and Recycling Centre in Garth Road, Morden, will be open as usual during the bank holidays. The site is open Monday to Sunday, 8am – 4pm. All users must show their driving license or a recent Council tax statement.
Non-residents, commercial vehicles and residents in vans or high-sided vehicles must report to the weighbridge entrance. This entrance is closed on Bank Holiday Monday. It is normally open Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm and Saturday 8am – 1pm. It is closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
