Merton Council’s tenants and leaseholders will be given a comprehensive display on Saturday 19 November between 10am and 3pm of the improvement measures that are set to be made in homes in the next year.
Models and exhibitions of boilers, windows and lifts due to be installed in Merton’s properties will be on show at the Capital Works Open Day to be held in the Merton Civic Centre.
Consultants from Merton Housing Services will be on hand throughout the course of the day to answer and explain any queries people may have regarding the upcoming improvements.
Key partners such as the Police Safer Neighbourhoods Team and Estate Services are also lending their support to this event.
In excess of 900 Council tenants and leaseholders have been invited along to what should be a very interesting day, which will offer them an insight into the changes that are going to take place.
Keith Marshall, Planned and Capital Works Programme Manager said:
“This is an ideal opportunity for us to showcase the works that are going to happen and to consult with our residents. They will be able to see the schemes, and give us their views on their preferred choices. It’s also the ideal forum for them to meet the staff involved in the projects.”
