People in Merton now have the option and luxury of not having to visit their local Library, thanks to the new online library system that is available.
Viewpoint offers people the opportunity to join the library, check what they have out on loan, renew items, amend their personal details and reserve items online.
Viewpoint can be accessed via the libraries section of Merton Council’s Website via the following hyperlink:
To access your account, you would need to be in possession of a pincode, however this is easily available at any of our libraries, where a member of staff will happily provide this for you.
Our latest offering in innovation forms an integral part of the £1 million pounds investment, which we’ve pledged to improve and rejuvenate Merton’s Libraries.
Councillor Mickey Spacey, Cabinet member for Community Services and Community Engagement said about Viewpoint.
“It’s excellent that we have Viewpoint up and running, as I’m sure it’s a facility that will be widely utilised by people in Merton and beyond.
The greatest benefit of Viewpoint, is that users will be able to have greater control of their library accounts, whatever time of day of it is.
This will particularly appeal to people within our borough, who cannot get out to visit the library maybe because of their age, disability or other factors
