Merton residents will celebrate Bonfire night in style this year, with a firework and musical spectacular on Friday 2 November in Wimbledon Park and Saturday 3 November in Morden Park.
The gates open at 5.15pm, when guests can enjoy a funfair in anticipation of the fireworks.
All the family will be able to enjoy the lighting of the bonfire at 6.30pm on both days.
· Friday’s fireworks displays starts at 6.45pm, followed by a themed ‘War of the Worlds’ display starting at 8.30pm.
· Saturday’s fireworks themed display called ‘Celebrating Scouting’s Centenary’ starts at 6.45pm with a general firework display at 8.30pm.
The entrances to the Wimbledon Park firework display are on Wimbledon Park Road, Revelstoke Road and Homefield Road. The entrances to the Morden Park firework display are on London Road (next to Merton College), Lower Morden Lane and Hillcross Avenue.
