Nominate your community champion

Local residents and businesses have until Friday 18 September to nominate their unsung heroes for Merton Council’s community champion awards.

All nominations can be made online this year in an easy three-click process.

The council’s awards are an opportunity to recognise council employees as well as people working for local organisations including charities and the emergency services. Residents can also nominate one they know for their contribution to the community. They could be a volunteer who supports the council in their spare time or someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty to make the borough a better place.

Cllr Stephen Alambritis, Leader of the Council, said: “There are hundreds of unsung heroes living in our borough. These are individuals who work hard to benefit the lives of others and make Merton an amazing place to live. If you know someone who fits this description now is your opportunity to nominate them and make sure that their efforts are appropriately recognised.”

To nominate, visit merton.gov.uk/excellenceawards and complete the online form.
