Britain’s Got Talent singer tops bill at Mitcham Carnival

Britain’s Got Talent crooner Wayne Woodward will be wowing the crowds as the headline act at the Mitcham Carnival on Saturday, June 10.

Wayne, who has been described as a cross between Danny Dyer and Frank Sinatra, was runner-up on the show and has just released his first album.

The singer recently left a personal message to his Merton fans on Twitter.

He will be joined by a host of other acts on the day including a demonstration by British Empire Wrestling where you can pound the canvas as fighters like Candy Floss and Buff Broadside battle one another.

There will also be a dog show, fun fair, sports activities and more than 100 stalls and food outlets.

Merton Council, which is hosting the event, is hoping the sun will shine and attendance will top last year’s event which attracted more than 5,000 people.

The free festival will take place on Saturday 10 June, between 12 noon and 5pm at Three Kings Piece, Commonside West, Mitcham.
